Ianto is a freshman at Virginia Tech, studying Materials Science and Engineering with a concentration in Nuclear Materials. He works as an instrument manager at NMFC, conducting elemental analysis on samples. He is currently pursuing a minor in French and plans to add a minor in Industrial Design. Outside the lab and academics, he is an avid reader and figure skater, and he enjoys crocheting. He is also a research assistant at Virginia Tech’s Kroehling Advanced Materials Foundry, where he investigates the feasibility of 3D-printed patterns in investment casting.
