Maria Lomas

Maria Lomas graduated from Lawrence Technological University with a BS in Mechanical Engineering and a minor in Energy Engineering. She is currently pursuing her Ph.D in Mechanical Engineering with a focus on thermal fluid systems. She works under the supervision of Amanda Leong and Jinsuo Zhang in the Nuclear Materials and Cycle Center. Her research focus is on the addition of nanoparticles to liquid lead. Outside of research, Maria enjoys crocheting amigurumi’s, visiting national parks, and crowdsurfing at metal concerts.
