Brij Bhagat

Brij Bhagat is a first-year student at Virginia Tech, studying Mechanical Engineering with a minor in Nuclear Engineering. He works as an undergraduate research assistant under Dr. Amanda Leong and Dr. Jinsuo Zhang.

Brij’s research at the NMFC focuses on the interactions between molten fluoride fuel salts and graphite. His other research interests relate to energy and propulsion systems. Outside of work and school, he likes cooking, watching crime shows, or practicing martial arts.
